TPF SA headquartered in Brussels, having offices all over the world and giving services in the wide field of Engineering Study, Project Management, Business Consulting, Construction Management etc. have joined hands with CETEST a specialized consulting engineering company, providing services in India in the field of Geotechnical Engineering, Geophysical and Seismic Survey, Road & Bridge Design, Engineering Survey. They have formed TPF CETEST Bangladesh Limited to execute projects in Bangladesh.
To start with, a major Geotechnical Investigation contract has been procured from SEPCO-III (Shandong TIEJUN Electric Power Engineering Company Limited), a long time client of CETEST in India. This is a 2 X 660 MW super critical coal fired thermal power plant and many such units are expected to be installed in Bangladesh. TPF CETEST is proud to be associated with such historic engineering adventure of the country.
This largest ever private investment in the power sector worth of $2.5 billion is in Banskhali Upazila of Chittagong district in Bangladesh. A joint venture company (JVC) comprising of country's S.Alam Group, Chinese SEPCO-III Electric Power Constitution Corporation and HTG Group, is going to build 2 x 660 MW (1320 MW gross capacity) imported coal fired super critical thermal power plants. CETEST's contract with SEPCO involves detailed Geotechnical Investigation and Topographical Survey as well as preparation of reports for the entire plant. The fee for the contract is around BDT 45 Million.
